Imperial Guard Tau Allies

So a good while back I found a piece by Ukitakumuki on deviant art. It depicts a suit designed to help Imperial Guard soldiers in combat. I decided to make two sample models for a possible future unit for my tau army. In addition I've included an earth caste Tau I made a few months ago.

The paint job isn't finished yet, I just wanted to show off the models. The main aspect of modeling that I did was remove any imperial emblems and use green stuff to customize the one chest piece and the other model's helmet.

Here is a link to the piece that inspired these figures (read the description):

Robotech Veratech Fighter

This beautiful thing was christmas present last year. From what I could find on the box it looked like it was an original model produced in the early 90's. I feel a little bad for putting together a classic model like this, but at the same time Robotech is the first anime I remember watching, so I just had to build it.

P-51 Mustang

I made this mustang about a year or so ago. Unfortunately I got superglue all over the window, so that bit got ruined. But it was a fun project.

Razorback

So awhile back I decided to take an old rhino transport and make a custom Razorback. It was fun project to help me get back into modeling and painting Warhammer 40k.

The troops can exit from the front and sides.

The turret is removable so you can see the interior.

I made whole control panel from random scraps of bits for the cockpit in the back of the tank.

The heavy bolter on top was mostly scratch built using plastic card.

Just a few process shots.

This was the original cardboard mock-up.

Techmarine

Spent a few hours working on this one. His pack has a drill, flame thrower, plasma cutter and possible clamps. I tried to make all the arms possible but the glue eventually won.
